Prayers he not used as a scapegoat, He read the word the student said, he did not use it as his own!

He was doing his job by following the rules of the ADMINISTRATION. This man should not even be dealing with this. The Administration should be DEALING WITH THE POLICY.

I am extremely disappointed in the TRIAL of the coach. However, having this hapoen will result in many more citizens becoming involved with the BOE which will result in NEW leadership. You can make it right. But if you don't change, we will change the BOE.

Coach Oswald followed the policy of the district. Many teachers agreed they would have done exactly the same as he did. Do not make an example of his. Change your policy going forward.

As an educator myself I support Coach O. As educators it is our job to manage student behavior. When an environment is created that teachers can no longer do that school becomes an unsafe place for all involved. I have been left speechless and with a pit in my stomach with how the once revered Lee’s Summit School District has handled this situation. It will be a stain that will never be removed. It will cost this community great teachers, administrators, and our reputation of being an excellent school district. I pray the board members stand up and do what is right.

Coach Oswald was always an excellent teacher the epitome of professionalism. He brought students together through physical activity and good sportsmanship.

I had the privilege of being on staff at PLMS with Joe. He is truly a teacher who cares about all students. He has reached out to so many students in a positive way during his long career.

He shouldn’t have been fired. He was following the district policies. Context matters

Fight this Coach! We don't know each other, but I know from hearing about you and your case, this isn't you and you did nothing wrong. Fight the district with all you've got. We are going through a similar situation in Harrisonville. Educators deserve better.

I am a former student of nearly 25 years ago and support Coach Oswald 1000000%. He was a great teacher and treated all students with respect and fairly. What the school board is doing is ridiculous and wrong.

My son called me to tell me about this. He is 30 years old now! He would not be the person he is without this teacher/coach! He is an amazing man with the upmost character!

Shame on the system and those pushing such an agenda. It is simply a tool of evil and only causes division.
