Coach Oswald was one of my coaches at West. This man had incredible character and the context in which this was said needs to be considered. Not once have i heard coach Oswald ever demean another student, player, or faculty members. Reverse this termination!

Lee's Summit school board - Don't cave in to the ridiculous recommendation from the superintendent. Do what is right and keep Joe Oswald.

This by no means justifies firing of a coach and teacher who is well respected and has served our school district for 27 years.

This is a travesty. As an educator, I support Coach zo.

This is yet another mark against the leadership at LSR7. Just like with the previous Super, we'll likely have a legal battle to pay for yet again. It literally will make good teachers want to transfer to other school districts. We must vote in leaders with more common sense and not the mob mentality.

I brought my children from Chicago Public Schools to Lee’s Summit looking for common sense education and follow through of common sense policies. As an educational leader, I can say this is the wrong move at the wrong time. This board of education has an opportunity to make a course correction and restore our hope in you. This never should have gotten this far….this is not CRT, this is not being woke, this is ‘virtue signaling’. Making one well respected white man take the fall for the district…shame on the supt., shame on the district leaders! This is like ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ ….sorry LSR7 school board, don’t waste tax payer money…because Oswald has a pretty good libel and slander case….among other possible law suits. Reinstate him…apologize…compensate him…and educate yourselves and the LSR7 students.

A teacher losing his job because he was DOING his job is obscene. This school board needs to wake up and understand what damage they are doing to education for years to come.

I worked with Joe many years back while I in LSR7. Although we were in different departments, I know he was greatly respected and admired by both his fellow teachers and students. Please look at all details of this situation and use wisdom in your determination.

Seriously, LSR7 district has been an embarrassment for years. This however brings the district over the top. Great Teachers hard difficult to find and LSR7 wants to get rid of an excellent. Retain Joe!

Joe is a role model. The fact that he is being questioned on his professionalism is absolutely ridiculous.

I am from Tipton, MO. I grew up and went to school with Ken and Susan, Joe's parents....wonderful role models. As a retired educator, my heart goes out to Joe. We need to support and not betray our teachers. From personal experience, a teacher with 28 years earns my utmost admiration and deserves respect... not termination. School board definitely need to step up and support Joe.

I have known Joe Oswald since grade school and he is an upstanding man. This is ridiculous. I hope in the interest of the rest of the students in Lee Summit they reconsider this decision. Also, a public apologize should be made to Mr.Oswald!

Keep Joe. He is a fine man of good character.

Support for Joe! Disgraceful that we have a country bob superintendent that admitted to not reading the reports of his directs that recommended other actions & he went for immediate termination! Also, a disgrace that it was found that the student (who was in the room) that over heard this & his father have been found to be lying on what really happened. Speak to any HR mgr & they will tell you that they will do exactly as to what joe did & read the stmt. This district is becoming a total disgrace!! Joe Buck & the BOE need to GO!!!

This is a terrible process. I have lost a lot of faith in LSR7.

Please keep this amazing person/teacher/coach as part of our district.
