This is typical LSR7 style. Protect the accuser and assume the staff member is guilty without due diligence. Happened to me and it will happen again.

Joe Oswald is a consummate professional. He has been teaching and coaching for 27 years. To treat someone with such disregard and disrespect is unjust. Joe has devoted his career and nearly his entire life to teaching and coaching children all shapes, sizes, colors and orientations. I predict the LSSD will see a mass exodus of qualified passionate teachers and coaches over the next 5 years. People

My name is Coach Limbo Parks, I coached football with Coach Joe Oswald for over 10 years at Lee's Summit West High School. Coach Oswald is like a brother to me like a second father to the players he coached. In all the years that we coached togetherI have NEVER heard Coach Oswald do or say anything racial, hurtful, or demeaning towards any player, coach, or parent. He is a model coach and a model person. Joe Oswald is the type of man that would give you his last cent without a second thought. I lived in Arkansas for over 12 years I know when I'm working or dealing with racist people. Coach Oswald is one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing He is the type of man you call when you need something and he'll come as soon as possible. I ask that you reconsider this move to terminate Coach Joe Oswald. This district would be losing a great teacher, coach, and person. Thank you, Coach Limbo Parks

"COACH". Everyone who knows Joe Oswald Knows him as "Coach" or "Coach O". Collins Dictionary defines "Coach" as "someone who trains a person or team of people in a particular sport. ... A coach is someone who gives people special teaching in a particular subject, especially in order to prepare them for an examination." Although Joe has coached many sports, his greatest mission has been to coach young men and women to be successful in life by teaching them character. I have known no other teacher who exemplifies character more than Joe Oswald. He talks the talk to his students and walks the walk, setting an example of great character every day. Joe Oswald is THE teacher that other teachers aspire to be. Joe has made a difference and impacted countless students, peers, friends and family with the example of character he personifies. This happens to be the Lee’s Summit School District’s Mission Statement, “to prepare each student for success in life”. Coach took it heart. Joe Oswald creates a culture of respect and acceptance for all students. I am disheartened by the actions of the Lee's Summit School District. An egregious error has been made. The Lee’s Summit School District has terminated an exemplary teacher and coach. They have terminated a man of the greatest character. This would be a good time for the district to reflect on policies, procedures, protocols and staff development. It is time for the Lee’s Summit School district to embrace an open, honest two-way communication, a collaboration that reflects a mutual understanding of respect and acceptance. With all this said, how will you repay a man who dedicated his life to the children of Lee’s Summit?

Would are kidding me. Another example was of this culture we are living in now. If things are taking out of context it hurts my feeling someone has to pay regardless of what happens…it’s all about me

Joe Oswald was not only my colleague for 7 years, but he was also my teacher in middle school. He is an amazing teacher and coach. Not once in all of those years did I question his character. He is absolutely a man of integrity. Stay strong, Joe! May this hearing show how supported you are and let truth prevail.

Terrible that the administration is hanging him out there to dry. A good addition would be circling the wagons around him. All teachers in the district should be scared.

Coach O is one of the good ones! He cares about his students and his players as if they were his own children. He is selfless, and is a model of what you want in an educator/coach.
