Coach Oswald has coached 3 of my kids and has never been anything but respectful, and professional.

Both of my children went to PLMS. Firing Mr. Osborn would be a great disservice to future children.

Having worked and coached with Joe for the past 16 years, I can definitely say and agree with what so many others have mentioned --- Joe does a great job as a PE teacher, coach, referee and all-around caring individual. Whether it's in the halls, gym, lunchroom or as a track coach, he genuinely cares about all of the students and athletes and treats them fairly and with respect. Praying for you Joe!

I was one of Coach O’s boys basketball managers when I was in 8th grade (2003). He was the BEST and always showed so much support to every student/athlete. This news is shocking to me and I hope he will be able to keep his job and continue supporting students.

Having mentored Mr. Oswald as a Missouri State High School basketball official, I can testify that his character is pure. This man has no ill will towards his fellow human beings regardless of gender, race, age or religion....folks, the mans’ heart is pure. Respectfully, Roger W Wendel, Jr. 6X State Championship Official /26 year career fireman for KCMO 31st&Indiana

As a former superintendent of schools and school board member, I hope that all charges have been validated by honorable and trustworthy first hand knowledge and we are not jumping to unsubstantiated accusations. I know Joe and I would have loved to have a man of his character work for our school district.

I am so thankful for Coach Oswald! Joe will go out of his way to say hello to teachers, staff, and students. I have worked with him for over 13 years at PLMS and he was teacher and coach to my sons. He is an advocate for kids, education, sports programs, and all things and people related to education. It is not in his character to slander or defame anyone. Joe is a man of integrity and quality. We support you, Coach!

Having worked with Joe for 15 years, he is an incredible human and passionate for his students. Hang in there Joe… this situation not only represents you and your professional reputation but you are standing up for what is right and representing over 1300 teachers in the district. We are all one false accusation away from being in this same situation. Stay strong my friend!

He is the best, most upright, morale, helpful, giving man I haveever met. He helped me at a time I truly needed help...and he volunteered! Never asked for anything! In all the years of working with this man, I saw only wonderful qualities. What a loss for the children in our district.

As a former teacher in Lees Summit I think it is disgraceful that the district does not have the coaches back.

Coach O was one of my favorite coaches while playing football at West. He was always nice and ready to help at any moment. He would even host off season practices and help in any way he could. He was a great person and coach.
