Community is about strength and helping others.

We need to support our most vulnerable community members....especially as winter approaches....we need to help connect them with the health and social services they badly need.

All are welcome in my neighbourhood.

We need more shelter beds all over the city -- and more affordable housing.

Dont let NIMBYism stop something needed so badly!

Been aware of CONC for years, and appreciate their work.

My city is a city that supports the most vulnerable amongst us, and doesn't attempt to hide the cracks of poverty out of sight and out of mind. As a citizen of the city, my heart is tired of news reports describing frozen bodies found on our streets in the winter. Beyond the shelter, I hope our city will continue supporting services to create opportunities for our homeless population, to support them in their difficult transition beyond the shelter system. This letter of support may be used by CONC or The city of Toronto for use as part of the public record in Support of the Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre’s Men’s Shelter at 850/854 Bloor Street West.

I live on Roxton and the shelter would be at the top of my street. I welcome this shelter because I believe we need to help all members of our community. A shelter like this can give homeless men the opportunity to starter and actually feel like they are a part of a community.

I am on the Board of the Homes First Society. We need more shelters in many parts of the city. I live on Manning Avenue and definitely support this proposed shelter.

I fully support the opening of a shelter at 850 Bloor St. Having lived in the area for years, I've noticed a number of homeless men who wander in the area. This shelter would be a great resource for them.

I can't believe that we need to sign a petition to support the opening of a new shelter. What has become of the neighbourhood? I'm a proud YIMB. Yes, in my backyard.

I live in the neighborhood (Gladstone and Bloor) and I welcome a shelter that will help to meet an important need in this community and the city as a whole. I do not believe that there will be negative consequences associated with the shelter.

If not here, than where? Show someone in need that you care that they have a place to sleep.

I live on Bloor Street right at Bloor and Shaw. I am excited about this men's shelter. YES in my backyard! Let's support this initiative!
