Supporters of the CONC Men's Shelter (850/854 Bloor St. West)

It is personally important to me that the folks living in my community that do not have stable housing can access housing through a men's shelter. These are real human being with real needs and it is our responsibility to see another's suffering and not remain idle or unaffected.

This facility is needed in a area of Toronto long neglected for shelters & homes for the less fortunate members of our Canadian society.

As a person living in the area I am strongly in favour of having the ossington men's shelter 'in my backyard'. These are vulnerable people at risk who need access to safe place to sleep as well as the social support this organization offers to those in need. Please give our neighbours without homes beds in time for winter.

We need housing options for everyone.

I lived in this neighbourhood for years and it would be a welcome addition.

Homelessness is a crisis that can be solved!

I knew of men who are no longer with us that may have benefited from such a program.

I live in this neighbourhood and I support this shelter. It would be great if we could also have more affordable housing here.

CONC has a great history of providing assistance to those in need AND to being a great neighbour!

Shelters are a vital part of the complete spectrum of resources and housing required for a comprehensive strategy to end homelessness.

We absolutely need to take care of those less fortunate than ourselves. This can only bring good to our community!

A 30 bed shelter is valuable addition to the efforts in the area and integral to improving the quality of life not only for those it will serve but the community as a whole

It is my understanding that there is a shortage of support for men on the street. I just found out about someone I know having mental issues and being on the street now. It is so difficult to know how to help. Social services like this seem to be so important.

It's the right thing to do in the right place

I support diversity in our neighbourhood.

We support the Christie Ossington Community Center and their goals of caring for the people of our community who need it most. We also commend them for the great hardships they must overcome in their success.
