Light and Love Home at Mount Pleasant community epitomizes its unique multicultural and intergenerational collective memories. Removing LLH and its services in the community would undoubtedly crumble many families of colors, seniors and minorities. I have volunteered for over ten years and have witnessed many instances of joy and connection the way LLH facilitates children, teens, young adults, couples, immigrants, Chinatown seniors residences to involve in community services and the spirit to care for the community. LLH needs the support of the community to preserve its services.

I grew up joining Light and Love Home during their summer and spring camps, their Saturday tutor classes, and eventually became a volunteer in their community. I believe they bring upon a positive up bringing to those who are influenced by them, not only in Vancouver but also globally. By closing the centre, you will be doing so much more than just developing new land.

I have volunteered through Light and Love Home and witnessed how the community benefited from its service. It provides a great platform for new immigrants to obtain help and volunteers to give back to the society. I strongly hope that Light and Love Home can continue providing its great service in the current location.

I experienced depression in the past 6 years. After meeting the members of Light & Love Home, their support and encouragement helped me find my direction of life. And now I'm volunteering as Pingpong coach to serve the community. I strongly support Light & Love Home to retain in the community.
