regardless of the recent painting, 5pointz can live on as long as there are artists willing to paint it. It may be Mr. Wolkoff's property, but this is our city, and 5pointz is such an important part of it

A few years ago, I shot a hip hop dance video at 5Pointz. A grad student at the time, I was allowed to shoot at this unique location for free. Meres One was very supportive of my efforts. In the process of making my own work, I met many other artists, out in the court yard, shooting video, creating visual arts and other work through various mediums. The experience set me on the artistic path I am on today. We need spaces like this, not just to "preserve work" but inspire new artists to create and re imagine what is possible.

This place is where my son at 9 years old discovered that the art work that he was doing as a hobby and a love had a deeper meaning. I took him to 5Pointz and he saw that other people had the same passion as he did. As an artist myself, a writer /poet, I appreciate all art forms. This history and culture is from a society of people who speak through paint and drawings. Please don't demolish this cultural historical place. It is the foundation of the graphic arts from one generation to another. A total and complete inspiration and a way of life!! SAVE 5 POINTZ! I am Tracey A. Brown from New Jersey

If you bring down that amazing warehouse, be prepared to see a huge spike in illegal tagging and graffiti. Let us express ourselves in our own way while being able to feel safe about it.

5Pointz is a living museum, countless pieces of art were lost in the whitewash! Restore 5Pointz and the community will flourish.

Shame to them! Museum of the urban art, well known everywhere in the world, you are playing against yourself by doing these acts instead of working with it (I know what I say, I'm an architect student, and I DISAPPROVE the way your(s) is/are using the concept of CONTEXT! Shame on you again!
