As an Alumni of Cluster Schools I support having better outdoor recreational space for the kids. With obesity numbers on the rise, it's imperative to be able to offer a safe space for our youth to interact and engage in physical activity. So I sign this petition in hopes that this will not just be a dream but REALITY, paving the way for bigger and better opportunities in the future.

As a successful product of DCPS Capitol Hill Cluster Schools (Peabody, Watkins, & Stuart Hobson), I support and fully believe that proper recreation not only stimulates muscle growth and overall health, but keeps young kids (many of whom are at risk) out of trouble. Give our youth something positive to do and they will stand forever with confidence and pride. And who knows, it may even be the spark for a future athletic scholarship!

My son plays soccer regularly at the Stuart Hobson soccer field. It keeps him and his friends physically active and gives them a positive outlet for all of their energy. It is a great asset to the community. there are many times when there have been a group of teenage boys playing soccer with children much younger than they are. It is a really great way to develop community.

The Hill needs as many additional field spaces as possible to ensure the growing population of families with children can remain Hill residents with viable local fields options for outdoor extracurriculars.

I have been a resident of the Hill for 22 years. I have two daughters who play soccer. More fields are necessary to keep soccer alive in DC instead of seeking teams and playing facilities in Virginia or Maryland.

Stuart Hobson is a middle school and the field should represent the school and the children who use it. Middle school kids needs a full sized field to properly play soccer and other sports and this is necessary for Cap Hill...we need more accesable regulation fields!

Middle school students in Northeast DC deserve the same kind of outdoor space and althetic facilities as students at schools like Deal. Please fully fund the project to serve the students at Stuart Hobson as well as the huge need in NE DC for adequate sports and recreation space for the community.

Athletics serves as an amazingly effective tool for character building. Please review this as a prioriity and address the void of space in our city.
