The bureaucrats finally backed down and Yergy is open for business again. You proved that when we refuse to bow to government overreach the cowardly suit-and-tie crowd loses every single time. Stay sharp because these local tyrants are still out there looking for the next target.

Started by Yergy's BBQ -Family Owned Business 5 years, 11 months ago

Update!! Two law enforcement officers and a health inspector came today and officially shut down this small family BBQ business because the owner refused to mandate masks in his restaurant. Share this everywhere and make sure people sign this petition. They are now threatening other Wells co downtown businesses to comply or shut their doors. SHARE WITH EVERYONE!!!

Matt Yergler, owner of Yergy’s State Road BBQ in Bluffton, IN has taken a stand against Governor Holcomb’s unconstitutional state-wide mask mandate. Yergy’s publicly announced that masks would not be required inside his restaurant if you choose not to wear one.

Since their public announcement the small family business has been threatened numerous times by the actions of the Wells County Health Department.

Regardless of increased support throughout the community for the local restaurant, on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 a Bluffton police department officer escorted a Health Dept official to his residence to deliver a Cease and Desist order.

The Health Dept is pursuing to close down the family business on Thursday, August 20,20.

This petition is in support of Yergy's BBQ and businesses alike that are leaving it up to the community and the people within to make personal decisions about mask-wearing. This petition supports allowing customers and employees the right to not wear masks if they choose not to.

The Wells County Health Department thinks they can just walk in and destroy a family livelihood because they refuse to bow to these tyrannical mandates. I have been fielding calls from other business owners who are terrified that they are next on the hit list. We are not going to let them bully our community into silence while they go after every shop on the block.

Thank you for standing up for our Constitutional rights. It is the right of every business owner to allow or require what THEY feel is right in their business. It is then the right of every citizen to go to the businesses that THEY choose.

I support Yergy's! If you want to wear a mask then do so or don't visit this restaurant but don't shut a local business down when so many are already struggling financially why do we have to hurt others. We are all adults, make your own choice.

People everywhere are choosing to not wear masks. He should inform the public that there will be no masks worn by his staff and customers if they do choose and it should be the customer’s decision whether or not to walk in and be served. Freedom-All the way around!

This should be a choice! Just like it’s a choice to go wherever I want to eat! If you don’t like no mask then you don’t have to eat there because it’s your choice. God bless the Yergler’s and others who are allowing choice

I have worked/nursing in health care for the last 20+ years and individuals should be able to make the decision if they choose to wear a mask.. Shame on Governor Holcomb ! Keep the business open so people can enjoy eating with fellowship with a somewhat of a normal life !

Businesses and people alike have a right to choose what risks they are okay with and which ones they aren't. What the Health Department and Holcomb are doing is an illegal abuse of power. I hope other legislators begin to stand up for their people

If beer joints and abortion clinics are open without masks, then restaurants should be, too.

Stop this mask mandate in our State. It's doing more harm than good.
