As a practicing prescribing medical psychologist for almost 20 years I have seen the benefits for underserved populations, especially Medicaid patients. I support the Washington State RxP bill.

As a military Officer, I have witnessed firsthand the benefit and impact prescribing psychologists have in military community. As someone who lives in Washington, I think it's an absolute shame that our community cannot have the same access to these services.

This is so important and as a medical provider I desperately need the support of trained mental health professionals who can share in the work of prescribing.

Not only does RxP increase immediate access to psychiatric care through people on the ground and specially trained, Washington becomes an attractive destination for other providers whose states do not have RxP. As others have said, WA won't regret this!

Given the increased need for mental health services, and crisis in access to care, appropriately trained prescribing psychologists can help to meet the demand.

We need more trained practitioners to prescribe medication to address our ongoing mental health crisis combined with our shortcomings in psychiatric care.

6 states now have this helpful addition to mental health treatment providers. Washington will not regret this.

I completely support the bill to allow properly trained psychologists to prescribe psychotropic medications. I have been doing it myself safely for over 10 years in New Mexico.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and would fully trust prescriber colleagues to help in this highly deficient specialty area. Please approve this. Psychologists are highly ethical.

I wholeheartedly support this bill, as I am a psychologist currently pursuing the masters in clinical psychopharmacology (MSCP) degree and planning to seek licensure as a prescribing psychologist in the future.

I've been practicing as a prescribing psychologist for over 13 years now. Recent published research has also demonstrated a drop in suicide among states that have passed rxp legislation.
