Support the Washington State Prescribing Psychologist Bill: Expanding Access to Quality Healthcare

We live in Jefferson County on the Olympic Peninsula. We have access to very psychiatrists. Extending prescriptive authority to psychologists will dramatically increase access to critical medications for people with a mental illness. Patrick Johnson, President NAMI Jefferson County Port Townsend

This action is long overdue.

Please expand access so that we can prevent tragic suicides and untreated mental health conditions.

NAMI Washington is in full support of prescribing psychologists! We have heard a lot of feedback from people across the state who says there is a severe lack of psychiatric prescribers in our state. There have been a lot of lives negatively impacted by the inability to find a prescriber for their mental health conditions. Pls pass SB 6144!

There is a significant need for mental health support access in the state of WA. Current prescribers are overwhelmed and short handed. I support this bill!

Psychologist are needed to prescribe medications for people who need meds in WA. State.

I support the deaf community to get medication prescribed in Washington

I encourage deaf community to get medication prescribed here in Washington

I am a Washington resident and am active duty army psychologist. It would be extremely beneficial to give prescribing abilities to psychologists to support soldiers and service men and women.

As a clinical psychologist, I would love to see prescription privileges given to psychologists across the nation. Prescription privileges would play a large role in my decision to return to working in Washington state.

This needs to happen to ensure appropriate care is delivered in a timely fashion.
