I feel as though everyone is entitled to accessible and affordable healthcare. No one should be excluded, and those apart of the DHHDB community are no exception.

People should have be able to access the healthcare that they need. When it comes to Washington state the mentally ill suffer here as well as the deaf and blind

Our nation is facing a mental health crisis . Making this bill a priority in the coming session is the first step in ensuring robust debate for quality legislation and policy. Washingtonians need more mental health options for more people. It's time for this bill to move forward.

I am signing this petition because people shouldn't get pushed to the side in health care because of something they cannot change about themselves.

Mental health is not limited by class, income, or geography. Expanding care, thoughtfully, is essential to ensuring equality and equity for mental health. Providing a path to expand prescribing access to trained psychologists is well anchored in research for safety and capability, and Washington has the opportunity to access this benefit immediately. Choose access, choose equity, and choose to support our legislators making the decision to support care.

I’m signing because people shouldn’t have to wait so long for mental health care. Letting trained psychologists prescribe will help more people, especially those in underserved communities, get the support they need, faster.

This bill needs to pass because it will expand access to essential mental healthcare, especially for underserved populations. Allowing trained psychologists to prescribe ensures timely, integrated care, reduces wait times, and addresses Washington’s urgent behavioral health crisis. It's a safe, proven solution that brings hope and healing to those who need it most such as the DHHDB community in Washington State.

Healthcare is for everyone. There needs to be specialized training for the mental health professional that treat and care for the DHHDB community.

I support this important legislation, as granting prescriptive authority to appropriately trained psychologists would significantly expand access to timely, comprehensive mental health care—especially for underserved communities including the deaf community in Washington. This is a common-sense step toward addressing our statewide mental health crisis.
