Support Tracey Waters continuing as coach at Corrimal Pool

Tracey has given so much more to the innumerable number of swimmers who've passed through the ranks than can be measured in money by council or solely reduced to a lease agreement. Maybe it can be measured in the hours she spends coaching, morning and afternoon. Maybe by the amount of children who've chased the black line so endlessly under her guidance. Maybe it can be measured by our medals and trophies, from 7 year olds who've won their first swimming carnival to the state, national and world pool and surf champions who train at Corrimal. Measurement may come from the amount of dreams shattered that Tracey has so surely rebuilt and encouraged to aim for again after falling. Except it shouldn't be measured. At 5am every morning, Monday through Saturday at least 50 individuals descend upon Corrimal pool, as part of Tracey's squad. We warm up on the yellow scratchy concrete outside, rain, hail or shine, dry heat already in the air in summer, or freezing our noses through winter. Then we swim. We sweat and cry and hurt because we want to be better, we want to be more; and Tracey is there the entire way. She's a part of something so much more than what on paper is just a swim squad, our sport is our way of life, and she guides us. Kids turn up morning and afternoon to a coach so stoic, wise and ridiculously steadfast in helping us achieve what we need to. If it wasn't for swimming and Tracey's guidance I wouldn't have met the friends I have, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to represent my state and country in surf lifesaving, I wouldn't have reached any of my achievements in sport, and I definitely wouldn't be half of the person I am today. Please consider the importance of our training in this space.

I would like to commend Tracey & her dedicated team of swim instructors for the support & inpiration they have provided to my daughter & by extension myself and my whole family. Tracey's support has been instrumental in my daughter acheiving results far beyond any natural ability not just in the pool and other sporting arenas but also in her academic and personal development.

Tracey is 100% dedicated to the sport and the kids she coaches who all look up to her. I fully support Tracey continuing as coach at Corrimal pool and dont want to be forced to go elsewhere if she is not reappointed

Tracey is coaching our boys the magical skill of swimming. They really hope training continues with Tracey as they can't imagine being as successful as they are without her. How wrong for Council not to take into consideration opinions of the community, throughout the tender process. Clearly, there will be so many families within our swimming club community that want Tracey to be Head Coach!

i have known tracey for a long number of years and my daughter was a long time member of corrimal swim club, and coached by tracey. tracey has the upmost professional attitude towards the swimmers and staff and parents. corrimal swim club has a long history in the area, and tracey has been involved with for a long time. i feel that tracey is the coach to represent corrrimal swim club now and in the future.
