We absolutely need to start charging these fees for all new developments in the Towson area. Developers and private sector businesses need to contribute to keeping Towson a desirable place to live.

Towson needs more fields and open space. How about a swing set in front of the old court house or adding grass to that ugly plaza in front of the new courthouse?

We need Kevin Kamenetz to stand up for families of Baltimore county and get out of the back pockets of developers who seem to have free rein to do what they want in Towson.

If we lose open space to development, then families will move to areas with more open space for families. Over developed areas are not attractive to families. Towson is nearing this.

Once park or green space is given over to development, it doesn't come back. At least, enforcing fees porvides a short-term benefit to residents who have lost another small part of the city's 'lungs'. We must keep a balance and, even with fees, it is tipped in favor of developers. Please don't knock us off the scale competely.

Please don't be short-sighted. Once open space is gone, it is gone forever.

Kamanetz and Marks, stop making taxpayers shoulder the burden while giving developers a free pass. Make them provide open space in Towson.

Its absurd to think Baltimore County would waive such fees when the majority of other like communities and developers alike know its value. The mere fact this is still being debated shows the disconnect between those who govern are area and those of us who have lived here and raised families here for decades.

Public green spaces make a community a community. Developers should be obligated to fund public spaces and programs if they want to make a profit.
