I just found out about this and I rather like having a club like this around even though I haven't heard much about it outside of a few friends from my classes who talk about how much they love the club

More colleges and universities are starting shooting programs every year. This is evidenced by the increased numbers of attendance at the national championships. Please keep this program going

Hope you guys get all your signatures. I shoot for Iowa Central so we compete against each other. It'd be a shame if we couldn't compete anymore. Good luck! Hoping for the best!

As a member of the ISU trap and skeet team, I have seen nothing but positives from the shooting sports. Safety and education are always our top priorities as shooters.

I feel that education is key to safety and sports come in all forms. Please do not allow closed minds to deter from the opportunity that this can provide the young adults of Simpson.

I am an NRA/USA/ATA shooting sports instructor and credentialed by the Iowa DNR to instruct shotgun sport safety and knowledge. Shooting sports is an integral part of teaching our youth gun safety, responsibility and respect for others. Simpson College would be well served to continue the shooting sports club. Thank you for your consideration of the positive benefits that shooting sports brings to all levels of learning.

High School and collegiate clay sports are extremely popular and exponentially growing in Iowa and our nation. They have considerable important local economic impact. Responsible firearms ownership and practice poses no threat to our communities; rather the club sports promote active community involvement and support. In Iowa, one of several outstanding examples is ISU Trap & Skeet. An organization that has produced top national and international collegiate shooters who have well represented Iowa State University, and donated countless volunteer hours of service assisting the Ames Izaak Walton League and Story County Conservation Commission. Thank you for your time and consideration.
