Not only do shooting sports require discipline, they teach safe handling of fire arms. Further, the youth meets I have attended have had the best sportsmanship I have seen, from the kids to the parents.

The shooting sports instill discipline, confidence and pride in oneself as well as one's school, Not least of which is the camaraderie with fellow students. Women as well as men can participate. To kowtow to political correctness would be a shameful thing for this college.

As the wife of a shooting coach, I've seen firsthand that a shooting team is just as much a team as any of the other more physical sports. I've seen older kids take younger kids under their wings to help them learn and support their growth. I've seen my oldest child gain people he can look up to as big brothers. I've watched competitions where opposing teams showed more sportsmanship than I have ever seen before. Please continue your support of the shooting sports.
