I am a coach's wife for the Charles City/Nashua trap club , we have been involved with trap shooting for 3 yrs now. It is very educational, the kids learn responsibility, and above all else Gun Safety. I support Simpson College sports club!

Shooting Sports is a great activity teaching responsibility and discipline. It is also one of the rare sports provided in a school setting that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. What can be more American than education in an unalienable right the likes of which is unknown anywhere else on the planet.

These students aren't hurting anyone and it gives them the opportunity to participate in a competitive sport. As a byproduct other students can be exposed the safe handling of firearms.

Keep the shooting sports around. They are an American tradition and have been for for centuries. As long as the 2nd Amendment stands the shooting sports have a place in this country.

I am both a member of the ATA and NSSA.I am also the current president of the Alaska ATA.
I spend quite a bit of time with youth shooting sports and I have to say that this is one of the best things to come along for our youth in many years

I fully support the Simpson shooting club. It is a fine organization. I have taught firearm safety/concealed carry classes on the Simpson campus and my students were very responsible, safe and sensible.

This is a wonderful way for young people on campus to build comradery with each other. The club is doing no harm and there's absolutely no reason to see it go - other than one person's political agenda. The college experience is about meeting people of different backgrounds and experiencing different things. These experiences should not be limited to only those deemed acceptable to individuals of specified political convictions. Do not cave to this persons political agenda.

Do not let the irrational fear of guns sway you. Target shooting has no correlation with gun violence, this is motivated by fear not fact based.

I fully support theses students and the faculty who are responsibly & safely engaged in an acceptable & well established sport that perfectly legal. And the rights of the those involved to own & operate these weapons are also Constitutionally protected!

I was on the ISU NROTC rifle team for 5 semesters. Shooting is a great way to work on concentration and focus. My rifle teamates are still great friends 27 years later.

This club is a healthy extra curricular activity for the simpson community. I would feel more safe if more people on campus understood gun control and how to defend themselves.

I am disheartened how this group has been subjected to scrutiny because of the topic of gun violence. I'm sure it would take a small amount of time spent with sport shooters to find they are responsible and committed to safety. I highly recommend any opponents invest this time to get to know how these individuals personally and their commitment to their sport.
