My personal experience in starting and managing a shooting sports club for middle school and high school athletes demonstrated that the best way to assure firearm responsibility is to address it by being involved. A shooting sports club allows involvement in a structured management process to maximize responsible firearm use. Moreover, it facilitates social connections, personal achievement, and motivation to be the best. Of all sports, it guarantees participation better than any other. No one is benched. Everyone learns. The dynamics are felt by all.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a responsible shooting club associated with any school. It's extremely disappointing that a very small group of shallow minded people can create such a stir where there is no reason to get involved.
