It's the ignorant people against shooting sports that should be banned.

Shooting sports is becoming popular sports program in a lot of High Schools and in Colleges in America. This is a great way for someone that might have not had the chance to use firearms a great way to learn the right way to shoot safely and have a fun time and also learn what shooting clay's is all about. Learning to hit a moving target is not as easy as everyone might think that it is. Please keep the shooting team at your college and encourage the right to bear arms, even if it is for a sport.

Aren't there bigger issue to worry about than trying to cut this group just because someone doesn't like guns? Kind of discriminatory, I think.

A shame that the person who urged them to withdraw the instructor offer is allowing her personal feelings possibly sending a message to the young people,it is Ok to be biased and ruin a Positive experience because she lives in Washington DC and all guns scare her.

This is Iowa. Hunting and shooting is part of what made this state great. Please don't let a select few show there power over our heritage!

Keep up the good work. Nothing better for gun safety than proper handling and respect for firearms that a program like this instills in young shooters. Thank You for your involvement.

My son was on his local high school trap team for three years and all of the kids were very responsible. This is a great sport.

The shooting sports are a time honored tradition in this country. Competitive shooting builds character, self confidence and self reliance.

College is supposed to be a place for new learning experiences and a club like this is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about, and participate in exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. As a BVU alumni I am ashamed to say I wasn't bold enough to create a shooting club while I attended. At least I can proudly say a school in my conference has what I failed to do for my own.

I had hoped at the very least that small religious schools in Iowa would be immune to the rabid fear mongering and general stupidity of other colleges in the US with regard to firearms. Please don't let me down.

This club allows students to be introduced to firearms and shooting sports in a safe, constructive, and supportive way. It also allows students already interested in sport shooting to have a way to connect with one another and to bond over a shared hobby in the same safe, constructive, and supportive way.
