மலேசிய நாட்டில் சாதியை வைத்து இயங்கும் மிகத் தொன்மையான இயக்கம்...இந்த நகரத்தார் நடத்தும் கோயில்கள். ஆஸாத் தமிழ் ப்பள்ளிக்கு நிலம் தர மறுத்த கூட்டம்.. இரத ஊர்வலத்தில் வரும் உண்டியல் பணத்தை ஊருக்கு அனுப்பி தம் சாதியினர் வளர்ச்சிக்கு மட்டுமே பாடுபடும் கூட்டம்...160 ஆண்டுகளாக இரதம் விடுவது கதை அல்லவா? அதற்கு முன்னரே குதிரை பூட்டிய சாரட்டில்( chariot) முருகனை கொண்டு ஊர்வலம் வந்தது கூலித் தமிழர்கள் அல்லவா! அவர்களது வட்டி பணத்தில் தானே இந்த கூட்டம் வாழ்ந்தது! 2007 ஆரம்பித்த வேல் ஊர்வலத்தில் யானைகள்இ கலந்து கொண்டபோதே பிள்ளையார் சுழி போட்டாகிவிட்டது ! அப்போதைய மாநில அரசாங்கம் யாருடையது? 2008 வேல் யாத்திரை யின்போது இந்த கோயில் நடை திறக்கப்படாமல் இருந்ததே ...ஏன்? இந்த கூட்டம் பெயரைக கூட மாற்றி அமைத்தது... செட்டி பூசம்.. கோயில் வீடு... அந்த 160 ஆண்டு கால அவமானமத்திற்கு... ஏமாற்றிய தந்திரத்திற்கு... விடை சொல்லும் காலம்...2017...! 10 ஆண்டுகளாக வேல் யாத்திரை யில் வீறு கொண்ட தமிழ்மறவர்கள் பங்கு கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்.. அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி.. நம் திருக்கோயில்: இரத ஊர்வலம் : இது அரசியலுக்கும் அப்பாற்பட்டது! நம் கடைமை! வேல்..வேல்.. வெற்றி வேல்..

I totally agree with you Kamalesh, the older generation have no way of climbing those steps to worship lord muruga. 4 years ago we heard a plan by the PHEB setting up cable car or train to carry older devotiees to the hill top temple. Till date nothing has happen. Some feel that would have been a better choice to the gold cheriot costing so much of money. Penang has over the last 100 years have seen one and only silver cheriot and it has been organised well by the chetti community. All hindus both from and outside of the island have always participated in the festival happly.
