I do not usually sign petitions however the homeless shelter is something we really NEED in this area. The old school is perfect it can house so many, rather than letting it sit empty like so many other buildings in the area, let it be utilized for something great. I find it interesting that there are actually people against the homeless shelter. Not all homeless are in that situation b/c they are lazy and don’t want to work.
We had been living in Oconto, my b/f was driving to Green Bay for a job, and then I got a better paying job making enough that him driving for that job wasn’t really worth it so he quit his job. Things were good, then I started getting sick (as in being hospitalized sick) after having to call in due to being sick. I was given an ultimatum either take unpaid medical leave, resign, or eventually get fired. Well eventually, I lost my job. Which caused a downward spiral and we ended up not having a home any more.
I do not wish anyone to ever end up homeless however I do wish that the ones that oppose the homeless shelter could put themselves in the shoes of the ones that are in that situation.

The area is in need of the shelter,there's no other place that takes families in.Were to help people in need,were to bless the less fortunate.When you bless,you will be blessed back.I don't understand why someone wouldn't help,someone in need.I pray you have a change of ❤.

There are not many petitions that I sign. But I do support the Abundant Life Mission and Shelter. My affiliation with the Mission has always been positive. I would encourage my friends and family to please sign the petition
