I will some day have kids and I will want them to be in FFA just like I was as a kid. FFA is a great program, not only for animals but for leadership, public speaking, and networking!

My son, Dusty Kutz, experiences in FFA were an important part of the confidence and maturity gained in high school. I believe it to be an important part of the heritage of our city and farming community that my children and their father, grand parents and great grandparents were raised in. I have called Marion home since 1984, it’s hard enough that the promises to maintain the small town environment were seemingly for political gain. The well known and respected business owners that generate income for our city raised their children and grandchildren to know and respect the farming community that Marion was known for. I pray another way to cut budget is found and that other youth will be as fortunate as my children were in keeping the heritage of Marion, TX alive through a full FFA experience.

I learned more in Ag and FFA than I learned in the classroom. My veterinarian whom graduated from A&M just told me the same. These kids deserve this opportunity

My father in law was the Ag teacher for many years in Marion. I’v seen and heard stories of how the Ag program made a huge impact on the students.

Please do not make any cuts to this program. Has been so beneficial to so many students over many years. And needs to stay that way.

Marion FFA has helped countless kids through the years. Many of them would not be where they are today without the FFA program. You are making a HUGE MISTAKE by limiting their opportunities and chances of earning scholarships. The AG department earns more scholarships than any other department in the school. WHY CHANGE IT?!?!?! There are MANY other issues in the school that need to be addressed before you start making these changes. You're hurting the kids you are supposed to be protecting and helping grow their education. Open your eyes!!! I hate to say it but there is something deeper going on here. There is no reason at all to change the FFA program.

FFA teaches and instills fundamental life skills that serve not only the student, but also impact our communities, State, and Country.

This program is critical for students to be exposed to skills that will be used as an adult. Much better than some of the stuff you learn in school and never ever need as an adult. Help set kids up for success!

FFA is essential in teaching students (and adults) about the future of agriculture (crops, food, clothing, etc) and providing real life experiences to help them better themselves.

My son Donald, Terry and I moved to Marion in july 2017 and Donald started 8th grade that year. Matthew and Taylor had Donald showing their pigs that year. In 9th grade Donald joined FFA, which taught him responsibility, leadership skills , and gave him more confidence in himself. I was a single mom for 12 years before i got remarried, and i am truly thankful for Terry, Matthew , Taylor , Payton and of course FFA for helping and teaching Donald, their is move to life than playing video games. When Donald graduates next year he also will have a certification in Welding, thanks to FFA!

FFA is one of the greatest programs for children It teaches responsibility, hard work, instills values and a family affair. It would be awful to discontinue this program

Marion FFA needs every single Ag Advisor it currently has in order to continue being SUCCESSFUL. The Ag Advisors spend countless hours outside of their day to day responsibilities and making any adjustments to the program would be the downfall of the most SUCCESSFUL program in the district! Our children deserve the diversity and leadership opportunities the FFA program offers. Where there is a will, there is a way and Ag students and teachers will find it. Cutting one of the Advisors and limiting their time out of class is not the way to continue being SUCCESSFUL. Opportunity and safety should not even be factors for this program. Unfortunately any adjustments that cause a reduction in staff or time will cause these factors to become a reality that the majority is not willing to just live with or be silenced about.
