It is absolutely ridiculous to try and reduce/eliminate the FFA program from the schools in an area that thrives on agriculture.

No child should have to suffer losing or thinking about losing a program at school. Ffa teaches kids so many life lessons ans provides so many opportunities to work with other students and teams from other schools. Not to mention the scholarships they will be missing.

My daughter Josie participated in public relations and floriculture contests through FFA. The public relations team competed at the State level. This experience has given her more confidence while speaking in front of people. This quality has helped her in her college career and obtaining part time employment while going to school. I feel this is a quality that will continue benefiting her going forward.

I fully support Marion FFA programs. No cuts should ever be made to the FFA or ag teachers. We are here to help and to grow the FFA not defund or cut it .

Our kids deserve the opportunity to have more Ag classes, not cut them. Please don’t stand in the way of my kids having the opportunity to further their education. The FFA program is extremely important to the kids/families here in Marion. The scholarship opportunities are endless with our current AG program. The teachers have worked endless hours to grow this program and allow MANY students the opportunity to apply for and receive scholarships that not only helped pay for college, some of them received full rides to college. The program isn’t broken, it’s exceeding all of our expectations and allowing dreams to come true and molding our youth into LEADERS. I assure you that there are more lessons learned in the barn than in any classroom. Our FFA kids are good kids, National honor society kids, kids that volunteer for community events and kids that set good examples for other students.
