I was one of the first batch of volunteers at Waikalua Loka I'a way back then. I am so pleased to see improvements that been done over the years. I am now 80 and I have a lung disease, so my volunteer days are only fond memories now.

I believe be it is our obligation, as a society, to preserve in perpetuity this place that once sustainably provided food to the Kāneʻohe community to that it may do again for this and future generations.
