I think not funding youth rodeo, or rodeo period, is pure ignorance. It is a community of all sorts of people combining into one big family. It teaches kids responsibility and what it's like to earn something.

Very sad one special interest group is wanting to do away with these programs. I guess they don't understand this is also where most farmers get their start.

Both of these groups teach kids values, ethics, responsibilities, leadership and giving back to their community. Most of the above mentioned this country has forgotten how to do.

I support youth rodeo 100%. We can't force anyone, of any race, gender or social status to participate. We do however need to keep this tradition alive for those who do participate. Look at other sports and the ratio of blacks to Hispanics to Asians to whites. NFL, NBA,NASCAR, HOCKEY ECT. Those people chose to participate in a sport they loved and no one is calling to stop any of them.

I have 2 grandchildren in rodeos and there are plenty of different races that ride with them....you can't expect the amount of races to be the same in the rodeos bc some kids do not want to participate they just aren't interested....it's not a race thing !!!!

Let’s leave our youth alone and let them be kids. 4-H is open to anyone and everyone.

Please do not let them ban the great sport of rodeo for our youth. It teaches our kids so much both inside and outside of the arena. How to care for animals properly, sportsmanship and also that in this world there are winners and losers. And how to lose gracefully. Rodeo is such a great sport with a strong family bond among the rodeo community. We are all family in the rodeo world.

Have been rodeoing for years with my kids and showing horses, have never once seen racism, the people don't understand that if your part of the rodeo world your part of the rodeo family, and family doesn't see race, we see brothers and sisters!!!

The rodeo and 4-H it's a great environment for kids to grow up in. It's open to any child that's interested in it and teaches caring for animals. There is no cruelty in it and should continue as it has been.
