Support the block grant for the JC Ag Association & continue the Family Rodeo

Having young children do something besides being online is a good thing. I personally know the people who present this event, and they are VERY good people who actually love animals and give great care to those they are responsible for

Ag is a huge part of our state and my life. I feel like kids who have this up bringing know hard work, and good ethics. These animals are often then none treated like family and have really great caring homes. These animals arnt just rodeo animals they are family to them. Don’t let some peta loving freaks ruin it for everyone else.

Again, someone that does not know about 4H, rodeo and other agriculture events at the fair is against it. Evidently they prefer kids sit on the couch and stare at video games.

Keep the kids rodeo! Kids who raise and respect animals are a much needed and valued part of many communities.

The County Fair is one of my most enjoyable experiences as a kid growing up and 4H was a big part of that. And just because a few with an agenda, seems silly to eliminate this fun, family and inclusive event!

This is a harmless family event. Only ignorant people would say rodeo is even close to animal abuse.

4H and FFA are some of the most inclusive groups around with activities for all social-economic groups, physical and mental levels and teach respect and the importance of building strong relationships with all people.

I strongly support 4-H and hope you continue to fund the activities they host.

Basic Rodeo skills are part of every farm. We remind you, we are not just the city of Iowa City, but a county where farming is a way of life.

We are so thankful to have such a great 4H community! Our daughter got to participate with her horse in the family rodeo last year after looking forward to doing so for years!
