Youth Rodeo teaches so much don’t stop and he funding

We need to have this event in order to support our youth who look forward to it year after year. I myself have an Autistic daughter who competes and it brightens her life

4H, FFA, and the sport of rodeo have enstilled life lessons in me that I continue to use after being out of all the programs and into my adult life now. Many of my proudest moments growing up were in an arena as a 4Her or in the rodeo pen, these kids work hard ALL YEAR LONG, they are out doing chores before school, come from from school to do more chores, all the animals need to get worked with on a consistent basis, all the while keeping up in school and sports, and they love every minute of it. All of this is teaching kids many valuable life skills that will be useful to them for their entire life. Cutting funding for these programs because a couple of people think the animals are harmed is ridiculous, I guarantee these people have never stepped foot in a barn or has witnessed the hard work that goes into these programs behind the scenes.

The value of Rodeo cannot truly be understood without experiencing it first hand. People without the knowledge have no business interfering with the industry.

All you city people need to open up your eyes and see the difference between country kids and city kids!

Please sign petition!!! All it takes is one win for them to get momentum going to go after all of the other disciplines involved with horses, rodeo, and cattle!!!!

Youth rodeo is a healthy outlet for our kids.

I support youth rodeo because of the life lessons it teaches our young people: respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and perseverance.

Give the grant!

Our kids need every opertunity to become the best person they can be. Rodeo, 4H, FFA and all things agriculture help with this. We can’t afford to loose it.

Kids need to learn how to raise and respect their animals

Please continue to allow our children to have a fun and family oriented sport available in our community which will in turn keep them off the streets and out of jail.

Rodeo and livestock shows, do sooo much more for kids than the public eye notices. It gives you confidence, leadership. The ability to work through struggles...responsibilities, because those precious animals depend on you! Go take a look at the animals and listen to The kids talk about them....they are very well cared for...they are family.

I run a nationwide nonprofit to assist rodeo youth in need of finational assistance. Many of these youth come from broken homes, parents on drugs, parents in jail, etc. These kids are using rodeo as an out as opposed to follwing down the path their parents took. Most are being rasied by someone else. They are responsible, productive members of society. Rodeo teaches youth so much more than what is seen in the arena. They care for their animals, they are taught respect for live stock, responsibility, sportsmanship, and compassion. The work ethic of these youth is second to none. My daughter barrel races. Her horse has a Vet, a farrier, a nutritionist, an atheltic trainer, and a dentist. Her partner is absolute best friend. This animal is in no way ever abused. On top of that, why would anyone abuse an animal that they have so much money in? This goes from the stock contractors to the partners of these kids. We MUST keep youth rodeo alive. These kids are learning skills that will take them well into adulthood. Many turn out to be ranchers, Vets, Vet Assistances, etc. They are the future of the back bone of America.

Don’t let a few crazy people ruin it for all the kids and families

Lets keep our heritage alive - this is a wall of heritage, family connections, farm life your not going to put up on my soil!

4H and FFA are great for young people. It has made me the person I am to. Teaching me how to raise my child and respect other. Along with many responsibilities that most younger generations think that everything is just handed to them.

Most of the animals are bred for the events. Most of them are treated ALOT better than everyone thinks they do for rodeos and shows like that.

Please continue to support the Johnson County fair and ALL of it's activities. Children are NOT shamed for participating in the rodeo!

It is crucial that we continue to support the 4h and ffa programs, the fairs that showcase the yourh’s hard work, and the families that make agriculture successful.
