Support the block grant for the JC Ag Association & continue the Family Rodeo

Rodeo keeps my daughter off the computer/electronic devices and outside with her horses. She rides every day, cleans stalls, and takes care of her animals.

Please do not crater to the ideology of the misinformed. If they have never walked in the shoes of the 4H or FFa kids or their parents, they don't know what a great foundation these kids have had instilled upon them. Please keep the rodeo alive!

Keep rodeo and 4h

Being a 4-H member I learned the responsability of raising an animal, the life lessons of taking care of that animal, taking the animal to the fair and competing with hundreds of other youth is something I would never trade. 4-H is not only about the animals. My love of art was strengthened with 4-H and the ability to take creative criticism; to learn what changes could be made and how to make my work stand out. As a 4-H member we were expected to do presentations that help youth build confidance in speaking abilities and become experts on what they are presenting about. Youth are also able to share their interest with others through these presentations. Before cutting funds the Board of Supervisors Needs a clear undersanding of how this could effect the youth who are involved. Instead of cutting funding. lets add funding. We need more youth gaining knowledge and experience through the 4-H community.

Rodeo teaches countless life skills compassion and endurance to our youth. Rodeo reaches some kids when nothing else can. Please continue the tradition

FFA, 4h, youth rodeo all teach our youth skills they will use for last time. This goes beyond the every day classroom and i believe it is the youth in these events that become our local, state, and national leaders. Please support these groups.

I am originally from Kalona, IA(15 min south of Iowa City) but now reside in Texas. Rodeo is a sport that teaches kids responsibility and resilience. It would be ignorant to get rid of it.

Youth Rodeo is not about fame or fortune. It’s about the life lessons that will be needed for our kids to survive.

This country was built on agriculture. We need agriculture to survive. Stopping the funding of FFA will stop the education kids need to learn about agriculture. We need funding for FFA and agriculture. Children’s rodeo should never ever be banned either. This is where children achieve their goals and learn valuable lessons in life. So many people rely on rodeo to make a living. So why would we not allow these children to not pursue their ideal life of rodeo?

Rodeo is the only sport that teaches all the values that are missing from our society today. It teaches youth to become responsible, productive members of society who act with integrity. Please don't allow the opinions of the ill informed to put an end to this wonderful sport.

Rodeo teaches kids hard work and responsibility and respect and proper care for animals. It keeps kids off the street. We need more not less!

My daughters barel horse is treated better than Any other animal we have ever owned!! He loves her and his job of running barels ... do not listen to people who know nothing about our sport or lifestyle!!

You need to keep funding the fair, the junior rodeo, and events for kids. I was involved in rodeo throughout my youth and know how much it taught me, and I know how much it can teach our youth today. I still barrel race, and I'm 58. Animals in rodeo aren't mistreated. They are worth too much money. Don't take this way of life away from your kids and your community!

I have been a farmer’s daughter my whole life. I’ve seen how this system works. We might not make much, but as a community we always find a way to give back. We help each other and others even if we don’t get anything back. With out these programs we would not have the ag community that we have today. Without those recognitions I don’t see improvement in anything agriculture and that is a big problem.
