My 14 yr old adopted son wouldn't be striving to do good in school and stay out of trouble if he didn't have the goal to make finals every year bull riding in Las Vegas.

Rodeo is more than a show. It is family, friends, and a love of the lifestyle. Kids learn SO much from rodeo.

4-H is SO much more than agriculture and animals though those areas are taught with ethical standards. Youth learn much about citizenship, communications, and leadership.

Youth rodeo has taught my children so much responsibility and dedication in caring for their animals. My kids’ horses eat better than we do most days! The only people who ever complain are always the people who refuse to educate themselves on what kind of care actually goes into these livestock animals and horses.

I grew up barrel racing while all of my friends partied...most of them ended up pregnant by 16, high school drop outs or dead from over dosing. Rodeo helped take me to college and now I have a career with horses, keep it alive for our youth and give them a path to follow.

Don’t ban rodeo. If you don’t like it then don’t go to the event.

These programs are the reason for my career choices and were the beginning of my love for agriculture.

If this happens, it will be the first step of many to destroy something that keeps families doing things together and it will spread like wildfire
