These programs are huge influences in kids lives. I would not be the same person I am today without 4H and FFA. They teach so many responsibilities for not only yourself but also the care of animals, financial responsibilities and even how to speak in front of crowds. These programs really do shape kids to become responsible caring rounded adults.

Rodeo is a very diverse and inclusive sport. All livestock are very well taken care of. Children learn Responsibly and Sportsmanship. The comraderie these kids develop can last their whole lives.

Don’t take rodeo away from these kids. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Rodeo animals are well cared for. Most take care of their animals better than themselves. My horses get first priority before I buy anything for myself. They are all loved and pampered.

Rodeo is open to all colors and ethnicity. This particular rodeo offers admission for all colors/races/nationalities. You CAN'T make other races etc attend.....that's on them so why punish everyone else?

Are you kidding me??? Why wouldn't you support and organization that teaches leadership and organization and public speaking and follow-thru and sportsmanship. 4-H/FFA is just NOT about animals--there are SO MANY other valuable lessons that kids learn. What this organization needs is support from the community AND leaders who will have the kahunas to step up and be a leader. Stop being a drop-and-go parent and do something WITH your child instead of leaving it to someone else and then complain about the job they did. County fairs are for families (and yes if you attend something you should expect to pay something to attend); when was the last time you offered a donation instead of taking advantage of something for free???? When was the last time you stepped up to volunteer to help???? Stop placing a race card on every activity. If people want to participate and/or show up to watch, it is their choice. Shame on the people trying to take away a GOOD THING out of the community. Just shame on you.

My grandkids rodeo. It’s not cruel to animals. They lead better lives than any other animal. Proper nutrition and daily care are their norm. Rodeo teaches kids respect, motivation, and responsibility.

As someone involved in the ag industry I can say first-hand rodeo instills a sense of responsibility and sportsmanship in it's participants towards both their human and animal team-mates.

Rodeo is a sport that many ethnic groups participate in. The rodeo/ 4-h family will help anyone, height, weight, color doesn’t matter to us. We love everyone the same. Taking this sport away will break so many hearts because all these cowboys and cowgirls work hard for their live stock, they are also very dedicated to practice.

4-H and rodeo has many benefits to the youth........ stop taking things away from them because the liberals don’t like it. Somebody has to learn how to feed and clothe them

Pulling the race card is rediculous! Rodeos are for every race and culture

4H, FFA and rodeo are open to all kids regardless of race or ethnicity, if they want to participate they are welcome and there are many people that would help them and show them anything the need to succeed. If you take that away you are hurting the kids. This teaches responsibility, and sportsmanship. Don’t let the few take this away from your children that work so hard to get there.

Rodeo and 4-h teaches kids more responsibility and animal care than non animal people can even begin to fathom. It teaches respect for authority, rules, and time management, as well.

Youth rodeo teaches kids how to be good stewards and care for the animals and equipment they have. It gets kids outside and teaches them life skills that they would otherwise never learn. The animals used in rodeo are very well cared for because without them we could not do the sport we love!

Stop the encroachment of animal rights groups and their agenda towards taking away the important lessons that 4H groups offer to youngsters across this country. Please support these kids and allow them to continue the proud traditions of 4H and other agriculture programs. The grant provides an opportunity for children to be mentored and have positive experiences for creating future leaders.
