I just don;t see how such a motivated and community minded family could ever be a burden to our country. If only more people had the dedication and compassion of Stephen, Sarah and their family what an amazing country this truly would be. What an appalling decision by the Australian Government where "cost" negates contribution

Dr Grandison and his family have become valuable contributing members of the community who deserve to have permanent residency. They have been dealt a cruel blow by nature with the health challenges faced by their young son; they are dealing with these challenges at no cost to the community and are contributing greatly to others. They are too valuable to lose they have earnt the right to be treated with compassion and be welcomed wholeheartedly as permanent Australian citizens.

I cannot believe the stupidity of the people who make up our government. Oh my god, we need more families like you and yours. My family and fully support you in your bid to stay here in Oz. May I take the opportunity to apologize for the idiots who are our government!!!

Really not correct to deny a good doctor a place in our society when there are others much less deserving who are allowed in.

This family should be allowed to stay, they are valuable to this community, and we are sure they will take good care of their son, both physically, financially and emotionally.

Stephen is needed in Noosaville.People like him don't arrive on our shores every day. Common sense is telling us all he must be allowed to stay and also his family

Let the Grandisons stay in Australia. Grant them Permanent Residency. They are a valuable asset to our community. They are not burden on the government! It's ridiculous that their application is being viewed in this light. Quite the opposite. They don't have to but they choose to volunteer their time to helping the community. Please let them stay.

Please reconsider this family's application, they are a great family, one who supports our local community in Noosa and the Sunshine Coast. Dr Grandison is a great local doctor who has great respect from his local community, colleagues and patients alike. He is well able to help take care and provide treatment for his son. All the best to the Grandison family with your visa application.

These people contribute to the community in many more ways than most Australian citizens. The fact that Stephen is a doctor also negates a lot of the costs the Government would incur. It's not like they are a bunch of bludgers, they both contribute. Let them stay.

The Grandison family deserve to be granted their permanent visa. As my GP, Dr Grandison has my complete confidence. He is an excellent medical professional and a wonderful asset to our community.

I was shocked to hear of our government's response to the Grandison family's visa application.
