It's never a good idea to cut back on the safety and security of a community who depends on their LOCAL Police Department!

I support the GFPD. A great group of people work everyday to keep the people of Glens Falls safe. Mayor Diamond should put aside his personal opinions and think about what is right for the residents and the people that work so hard for the department.

My dad has worked for this department since 02 when we moved to Queensbury. He has worked tirelesly to keep the streets and residents of Glens Falls safe. He has moved up within the department and is now Captain. I suppport The Glens Falls Police Department.. And you should too!

Glens falls pd has been there my whole life. The department has some of the most highly trained n respectful officers, there's a reason it hasn't happened in multiple attempts leave them intact

The reason why GF has a low crime rate is because of a STRONG POLICE PRESENCE 24hours a day 7 days a week, you WILL NOT have a strong police presence with the sheriffs dept. Once the criminal element sees that, you will have an increase in crime, GF will have crime like many of the other local cities south of here. As far as the tax decrease that the mayor talks about, don't worry he will find something else to spend it on and you will never see it, I have several questions about this possible consolidation but will wait till another time, but to begin with where the hell does the mayor get his law enforcement experience to decide what GF needs for police protection, he needs to answer this and ALL questions posed to him.

I have to say the 21 years we have lived in Glens Falls, the police department has always treated us with the upmost respect and courtesy. I don't think I would live in Glens Falls any longer if consolidated.

I work closely with these guys, it's always nice in the emergency services to have the backup of the GFPD. I've always felt secure and safe at work your brothers and sisters down the road support you.

Recently I read that it would save the average homeowner around 180.00 dollars a year, a small price to pay for such a reliable and outstanding force as the GFPD.
We'll be paying more if we lose this service...ie-: alarm systems,security cameras and so on

My wife is a RN at GFH, and knowing that GFPD is always just seconds away is a great feeling! Do away with a Cities police force, your just opening doors for the drug dealers, and that in turn opens the doors to greater amount of theft, and violent crimes!! The statistics are scary google it
