Cuts to the pay and conditions of dedicated care workers is an attack on a group of people who are already under paid and often undervalued. It is also an attack on the disabled adults for whom they care. We need investment in such services, not a race to the bottom.

Care UK strikers are an inspiration - showing the way to defend the NHS and fight the attacks on workers

I am one of the above Care uk strikers and have seen the affect this compan y has had on service users who are the most vulnerable people in the nation. The staff who have been looking after them have decades of experience. They are like family members to all the staff who are out on strike. I have only worked for NHS RDASH for 18 months but have been looked after and taught lots by these well experience staff some have which have done 20 and 30 years service with the NHS. To be sold out by the local council to the lowest bidder is despicable. Some staff are to lose up to £500 and possibly their home by this action of selling toa greedy avaricious company like Care UK. They are employing inexperience unqualified staff and allowing them to work with no crb checks in place. They are working for peanuts and expect us to do the same.They have broken all agreements and things they said to us. They went in with the lowest bid as if these staff and service users were a piece of meat. Thats how we have been treat by this company. We ideally want Care UK to pull out of this contract . The NHS should not be sold off to the lowest bidder. Please suport our cause and sign our petition !!
