There is great potential for developing a new Koorie Centre of Excellence on the grounds of the Aborigines Advancement League. This cultural Centre of Excellence will bring together Koorie families, children and young people, and provide a holistic range of support activities. The Centre will be a central meeting point for communities to come together, and to support our communities in celebrating culture. Within this community space we would like to establish a resource centre, football oval, netball courts and gymnasium where Koorie communities are connected through healthy activities and coming together to celebrate culture.

The momentum behind this petition proves our people are tired of being ignored. The bureaucrats at the planning office cannot keep pretending this cultural centre is optional when so many of us are demanding it now.

This would be so good for the mob. We really need a place like this to bring everyone together and keep the culture strong for the kids.
Long overdue. Great space for the community and our youth need these facilities asap.
