Background

Archbishop Sumner (ABS) Primary School is an outstanding school which is strongly supported by the local community.  It has the potential to be a beacon school of outstanding achievement, social integration and transformation.  The recent development of the Oakden site, establishing two reception classes in September 2012, has delighted local residents and provided much-needed primary places for local children.   With huge new residential developments across North Lambeth, we need two forms of entry for this school to provide for Lambeth Council's current projections which indicate a further 21 reception places will be required in North Lambeth in 2013.  ABS is very keen keen to ensure Lambeth makes the earlies possible decision to confirm that ABS can offer two reception classes from September 2013.

I believe that Archbishop Sumner is a vital part of our community, provides an essential and outstanding education for local children and I support the ongoing development of ABS with a bulge class in 2013 and future expansion of the Oakden site.
