Support the development of affordable/workforce housing on the Suzuki Property

super need for affordable housing in all of Kitsap County.

This petition is so generic it does not incate it is for HRB purposes. We do need affordable housing, but we also need to review other proposals.

COBI should support affordable housing at Suzuki Property. Its a step in the right direction toward a more diverse and inculsive community.

It is just such a good and honest idea if we want an honest, diverse and open community on the island.

Though a former island resident, I support the development of more affordable housing for low to moderate income households on Bainbridge. I am very grateful for my affordable housing while going to graduate school in Seattle and single parenting my elementary school aged child. The proximity to the ferry provided me with low cost commuting to and from Seattle, which was extremely important to me, while keeping my child in the community where she had always lived. Without affordable low income housing on Bainbridge, I don't know how I would've been able to make it all come together.

It has been quite hard for my family and I to find housing that we can afford on the island.

We need affordable housing throughout Kitsap County!

HRB is an asset to Bainbridge Island and helps to ensure a diverse range of housing options. HRB is the right group to develop this property in a thoughtful and responsible way, making it a tremendous community asset.

It would be wonderful to be able to offer affordable housing to my staff. Only 1 employee out of the 13 that work for me is able to live here.

It is important that the use of this property accommodate affordable housing for the work force of our island. Unless you purchased property 30 - 40 years ago, you simply can not afford to live on Bainbridge if you are a teacher, fireman, policeman or retail worker. Those people are critical to our island and should have the opportunity to live here. Diversity is critical to a vital community.

Please rezone to allow affordable housing at this site.

There is a strong need for affordable housing on Bainbridge Island and I support the effort to develop this housing on the Suzuki property.

Yes, we need "workforce" housing. What about artist and musician housing? I'd love to see some radically affordable (tiny house?) options too so that the creative people who keep life interesting (but tend not to get paid well) can afford to live here too. I'd also like to see some more efforts to destigmatize affordable housing. This isn't the projects we're talking about building here. It seems some people are confused on that point. When people at the median income can't afford housing you have a real affordability issue.

I urge the COBI citizens and council to devote intellectual, emotional and financial energy into creating affordable housing throughout Bainbridge Island, rather than keeping it segregated to various properties deemed acceptable after drawn out case and controversy. Nor should such housing be called-out purpose of serving "the help" (workforce) but to add more richness to the mix. what seems to be a fairly Californiaenabling our fellow dignified human beings to have the choice to experience
