An ethics board isn’t necessarily limited to punitive matters; it should serve an educational aspect as well. So when city officials are crossing a line, they know it and know what to do about it ...

If everything is transparent & on the up & up, why have there been issues, that even brought up the subject to suggest this Committee? It's overdue.

I'll volunteer to be a member of the board. I am an RN at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and co-chair Workload and Staffing and Nurse Practice committees. I have held various other positions that would qualify me to hold a seat on the ethics committee of North Tonawanda City Government.

My main question is why don't we already have an Ethics Board? This is standard and those understanding true governance would not oppose such a basic component of democratic governing.

How can we teach our children to have morals, ethics and to be up standing citizens even when the adults running our city don't.
