I have been reading your stories about why you prefer local coffee over corporate chains and it confirms why I started this fight. I am currently gathering these testimonials to present to the base command so they understand exactly what the community wants.

Seeing this level of support for The Coffee Box feels like a light in the dark because I know how much this shop means to our daily routine. We are proving that base personnel want independent quality over corporate uniformity. This momentum gives me the confidence to walk into the command office and show them exactly who we represent.

Lisa’s dad was a Seabee, and we should keep local business on and around the base as much as possible if people want Starbucks there are hundreds of them outside of the base! A coffee shop like Lisa’s will be better for morale for the young bees, better than a giant chain store, and the coffee is better!
My husband spent almost his 20 years on the CBC base and we lived on the base for a few years. I would chose a local small business over a corporation. The Coffee Box has better coffee than the Starbucks. So much friendly. They get to know there regular customers by name and their drinks. Please go for The Coffee Box!!!!
I’d much prefer to support local businesses. A good relationship with our local/civilian community is essential to a successful military base community.
This is by far a better option than Starbucks or anything similar! Why would we not support a local business and someone who, herself, grew up on NCBC?! We WANT the Coffee Box NOT a big franchise chain!!!!!
I am a frequent coffee box goer and i would prefer to see them on our bases rather than Starbucks . I have had many Starbucks in my life and they are a huge corporation . Why not support a fellow mom, wife, sister and friend build her business and her dream . Plus , the coffee is amazing and her friendly smile is something that could brighten your whole day.
Keep it local. Small Businesses Rock!
Love this place. Also since they added soups and some chili to their menu my love for the place is through the roof.

For those who aren’t coffee drinkers, the Coffee Box has fabulous non coffee options unlike Starbucks. I’m not a coffee drinker, but hubby is. He much prefers Coffee Box’s coffee to Starbucks. The base won’t regret choosing the Coffee Box over Starbucks.
