In today’s world, we see that nudity is a widely accepted phenomenon which is also praised by many to extensive level based on Law of Freedom of Expression and human rights. It’s the personal right of an individual man/woman to wear whatever he/she likes and no one on this planet has the right to object on it. Totally agreed.

In our world, where women are given liberty to practice whatever they like, the men are ignored in some aspects like growing a beard. Men aren’t allowed to work in corporate houses with a beard and are forced to shave it off in order to save their jobs. They are given two choices: No beard or no job, which is definitely a violation of human rights. This situation is faced by many men although not everywhere but in most of the parts of the world. For instance, I would present an incident happened with me when I got recruited for the post of delivery executive in a not so well-known company, where much later after I joined, my recruiter began forcing me to shave off my beard which is hardly 2 cm long. I still remember when he said to me, “Shave your beard off, click a picture and send it to me, until then don’t go to the field.” I wasn’t allowed to work not until I do as he said. For this reason, I resigned.

I always wonder if a Prime Minister of a country can grow beard then just being a citizen why can’t I do the same. Do I not have any liberty over my appearance? Or Do I need to be Politician or a rich man to observe my rights?

Surprisingly, I don’t understand how this discrimination occurs in fellow beings, the root of it, I don’t get it. I guess it’s religion or culture that makes them hate people. If it is religion, then I would say even Jesus and Moses had beard, do we hate them? No! We don’t hate them, instead we love them with whole heart. Then why on earth we hate bearded men regardless of any religion or culture. Apparently, the beard has nothing to do with the job, it’s just a part of one’s appearance not one’s job. We need to understand this, everyone needs to understand this and only then we’d be able to respect each other’s consent, choice and rights.

Hence, the goal of this petition is: to make awareness among people regarding violation of Men’s rights and that Men must be given liberty in appearance and must be allowed to work with a beard in any part of the world without any discrimination or so. This goal can’t be achieved not without all of you. So, please join me in my fight and be my voice so that the world can hear us.
