A project of this scale and nature is needed to ensure the continued desirability of our town to current and future residents. The incremental commercial real estate taxes generated are also needed given the impending tax raises to come from Hartford to offset their mismanagement and huge unfunded pension liability. Let's bring Darien into the present with a vibrant life, work, play streetscape!

David and Penny have always put Darien first when it comes to there projects. The fact that they are spending their money to beautify Darien and really create a warm community feeling is awesome. They have a great vision and the focus is long term. They are building to create and unbelievable downtown. I tip my cap to them, and I will support them anyway possible. Darien is lucky to have people that care!

I work in Darien at 1020 Post rd and hope to move my family to Darien from Rowayton next year. This project would significantly improve the downtown area, which we already use as an extension of our small village in Rowayton. This should help property values and increase the overall quality of life for residents and patrons of this town. The 1020 project was a tremendous success in improving the look and feel of the town - hopefully this next chapter will be approved so that a proportionally larger improvement to the town can take place.
