Custodial sentences totalling more than 14½ years for an asthma attack and a small cut!? Power hungry monster Judge Andrew Lockhart has potentially ruined the lives of 21 hard working local men for what I can only describe as a school playground fight. Prison is for rapists, thieves, and murderers. If you lock up people for this, then you're the criminal.

Moment of madness doesn't deserve a prison sentence when people get off for worse crimes!!!!

Very unfair and unjust sentence!!!!Cant believe we live in a country where burglars, rapists, drug dealing get away with tagging, minimal sentences and on several occasions suspended sentences.Just a total joke, where I live I constantly go to work dodging all of the above as they are housed in a street that used to be a lively holiday place.Joe Gilks a lovely lad similar age to my son who I can't believe has had to endure going to prison it breaks my heart.I can't say any more because I'm choked!!!!

I personally know Joe and his family. I'm shocked at the severe injustice these lads have been dealt. Before this country loses even more faith in our corrupt justice system, not only do their sentences need to be lessened drastically, this needs to fuel the fire (at least) towards a reform of the system itself. Good luck to all the guys involved and it's seriously heartwarming to see the support you're giving each other.

Even if they declare their actions as some sort of criminal offence the sentences handed out are obsoulutely outrageous! Most of the people sentenced are completely innocent and ment no harm by storming the pitch! Im quite sure in the moment under the influence of alcohol the mojority of people would have done the same and never thought they would be handed jail term for something so minor!

The sentences are an insult to our intelligence. They did wrong without a doubt, but 2 years honestly is a joke when you get the same for manslaughter.

Someone needs to take a look at the sentencing consistency as regards the offence committed. It's ridiculous, a fine and a warning or a deferred sentence and some community service are surely the norm!

These sentences were much too harsh especially if it's a 1st offence

I know people who did 2 years for manslaughter. This is a scuffle by immature young men. Just like most men at that age. Examples need to be made sometimes, but we trust in British justice to be fair. This sentence is anything but.
