The Albabdy County Food Bank desperately needs all the help it can right now, and this project also brings together the community and teaches practical skills to youth. It's a win-win with one stick-in-the-mud neighbor in it's path, majority rules, goodness rules. Let the Haunt continue!

you all should be ashamed of yourself. Here's a young man doing something he loves and something that helps YOUR community and you're throwing a hissy fit and demanding money like a spoiled teenage girl. I wish I didn't live so far otherwise I be screaming in your faces. You should be ashamed. I didn't realize that Albama is just spoiled money hungry brats. You should put that on your flag from now on.

A boy who works this hard on something should be commended. He's not having wild drug parties, or working on motorcycles with his gang for gods sake! That clueless neighbor could only hope his son turned out as well as this young man. Why doesn't dad and son help

One tyrant should not trump the creativity and charity of a neighborhood community.

This is ridiculous.

I aplaud his civic minded efforts and if the planners shut him down because of one persons narrow attitude they are spineless.

Efforts by young people to give enjoyment to the community and help to needy people should be encouraged, not stymied by the "bad blood" that exists between this family and the next door neighbor. Construction noise should be limited to regular working hours. If the neighbor's kid's nap time is a concern, a break in construction noise can be negotiated. However, Sam DuBois is doing overwhelmingly good work and ultimately, his Albany Haunt project serves a wonderful community and public purpose that overrides the sour grapes of one neighbor. Also, shame on the City of Albany for requiring him to pay permit and use fees. You're taking money out of the pockets of the needy. How about sponsoring the project and donating the equivalent of the permit and use fees?
