Events like this should be supported not thwarted! Individuals, especially young people, who take the initiate to do something for the community are rare nowadays. What kind of society are we if we make it even harder for people to give of themselves?

I wish I lived nearby so I could visit! I wish I'd started learning the skills it takes to build a home haunt as a teenager, rather than later in life. If I was your neighbor, I'd be out there building and decorating with you!

This neighbor wants the entire neighborhood to be quiet so his son can take a nap?! Come on. What is that teaching the kid? Fight everyone until you get what you want without looking at the greater good?

Let the kid build his project, and let everyone have fun on Halloween day! There's few people doing good things in life, this kid is doing more than his unhappy neighbor.

This boy is all heart and drive. His efforts improve the greater community and should outweigh one intolerant selfish individual with bad humor. Please show the public Albany is a reasonable place to live.

I support the creative and giving spirit of the young man. The neighbor should be so lucky to have his son grow up to be half as civic minded. At the rate the neighbor is going, he will be bringing up an entitled brat instead.

I applaud Sam's creativity and generosity in helping to raise money for those less fortunate. That an adult man is trying to use everything in his power to bully him into stopping, and using his 5 year old child as a shield for his actions, is shameful.

Ridiculous that a neighbor would choose to stop the event rather than engage and help and be part of this event. As for his son, will his father always shelter him from things that are make believe? I'm sure 30 minutes with the haunted house creator would make that little boy happy to be a part of it.

Kratlin should be realistic about his living situation. If he can't handle a neighbor with hobbies, then he should move to a more private area with more distance between neighbors. Make more $ and move, don't try to force people to conform to your wishes.

This is a good thing for the community and if a compromise cannot be worked out it would be nice to see the city find a place for Sam to have his Haunted House. To see the kids working together so hard on an event for their community and then donating the proceeds to people less fortunate should be commended not shut down. So often teenagers are highlighted for the negative things; it's time to support the positive things which will hopefully continue the team work and spirit of charity among the youth. Thank you for your time.
