Currently, the 369th Veterans Organizations and the Harlem Youth Marines are being denied access to the 369th Harlem Armory, located at 2366 5th Ave, New York, NY, 10037. The origin of these organization spans more than forty years. The building renovation started in 2014 and the units, along with fraternal organizations had to vacate. After the renovation was completed, military units returned yet veterans organizations were given an assortment of reasons to deny access. Letters, phone calls and face to face meetings have been conducted without any explanation of the ban or a resolution to allow the organizations to have an alternative. Politicians have held events at the location and are probably unaware of the ban. We simply ask for access to the armory along with the 369th veterans organization or another location until we can be given access to the Harlem Armory. All of the aforementioned organizations have served this nation, this state, and the community.
