If we sell our teachers short, we are selling our students short. We can't afford to lose great teachers. Our children will only suffer. A quality Education System reaches farther than the classroom. If we want to create a better economy in our state, we have to maintain high educational standards in order to attract new industries to our states. Northern Michigan is a wonderful environment in which to raise families. Without a strong educational program we will only attract visitors, not residents. An investment in Education is an investment in our economy.

As an educated person of Michigan it amazes me the bill of goods we are being sold. The Common Core is nothing but wealthy beneficiaries increasing their wealth. The amount of testing being done to young children should be criminal. Snyder "found" a budget surplus and won't put it back into education, which he has raped since being placed in office. Where are the people of MI. Come on people stand up for the children!

Stopm stealing money promised to teachers. Imagine returning to education of the 1800s. Shame on those of you who haven't the guts to raise the money needed to pay for a decent education for your kids!

After working with TCAPS for over 20 years I'm very aware of how dedicated these teachers are and am saddened at the lack of respect these teachers are given! They are the most important link in our school system! They are invaluable and our students are so lucky to have such wonderful educational leaders in the classrooms!!
