I don't remember much about the fourth grade, but I do remember my teacher.

Children need people in place to guide them, care for them and teach them. Ideally every child would have this starting at home. Unfortunately that is not always the case. For some kids their teacher plays that role as well. It is a hard job and they deserve to be paid well for All that they do.

To not support teachers is to undercut children. Both are the foundation of our society.

Our children are our future, and the heart of public education is its teachers. To support our teachers and to hold our educators in high regard is in our community's best interest.

I volunteer in a TCAPS elementary and I am so impressed with the education being delivered by the staff. the long hours of prep required, with limited materials and support. Morale is low, but never apparent in the classroom. Kudos to all teachers who are giving 110%!

Well said! Often times it becomes too easy to cut the imeasureables. The formula is really quite simple. If you want good employees, then pay good wages. They will be loyal, proud, creative, and sound citizens.

As a very involved parent, I see what our teachers are doing for our children. And I see what they are doing without.
My wife wants me to tell you there is a typo in the second to last paragraph (here should be hear). Hope this can be corrected.
Thank you!
