Why should Australian students be discriminated against financially just because they choose a different provider? Not all courses are available at local universities.

I believe I got better education from my private sector provider. Classes were smaller, trainers more approachable, hands-on experience was available.

The 25% impost on students being educated by private providers is appalling and totally unfair.Why should 20% of Australian Tertiary students subsidise the studies of 80%?

I all ready pay a high fea do not wish that to raise. I like the current sistem and would like it to stay the way that it is.

Students are the future of this country, regardless of which higher education provider we seek. It is illogical and backwards therefore to send those that choose different learning institutions than public universities wishing to better themselves and possibly the country into crippling debt before they even reach the age of making a difference. All students are the same - stop segregating us!

I think it's incredibly unfair that there is such a large difference in fees between public and private institutions. I myself studied most of my Undergraduate degree with a private institution and I found the lower class sizes and better student teacher ratio resulted in a better learning experience.

I think it is unfair that the government is supporting students in public education systems and not equally supporting privately educated students. 25% interest is ridiculous, we will have to work for over 10 years just to pay our study fees back.

Education should be focused on teaching skills not on lining the pockets of the government or company big wigs. We are already losing so many trades and industries due to stupid government decisions, now the government want to stymie the development of our potential innovators and skilled workers.

Governments love to create buzz phrases such as "Smart & Skilled", "The Smart Country" etc., but it is neither smart to limit choice nor skilled to ignore the fact that smart ideas are often originated in the melting pot of private endeavour.

Studying at private colleges gives us the opportunity to study our field of interest with less discrimination and concern of your HSC results. It is only fair that every individual is given a choice where they study. Not everyone is able to attend University but it does not mean that they cant be a valuable contributor to society.
