The Goucher I attended was PROUD of our student activism and encouraged it. This is NOT the Goucher I remember.

The move towards policing student activism is counter to the values I was taught with as a Goucher student.

Goucher's "global education" should not be imbued with the colonialism and imperialism that fuel the state of Israel.

Goucher continues neglecting the views of their students and alumni to get more money. Unless change occurs NOW (and NOT bureaucratic “We hear you”s), Goucher will be on the wrong side of history. I’m ashamed that I chose this institution.

As an alum, it is of incredible importance to me that the school that taught me to be anticolonial actually walks the talk. Do better.

One of the many reasons I left this school and transferred elsewhere is their inability to actually embody and support what they say.

It is embarrassing and disgusting with how this current administration of Goucher college has handled the genocide in Gaza. Still promoting Birthright trips to a country that is actively bombing and occupying innocent people just because of the color of there skin and ethnic background. Goucher is exhibiting racists tropes by doing this and participating in Islamophobia. It has also created an incredibly unhealthy and dangerous environment for its students of Arab, Muslim and Black decent. And any student who is against Zionism. By doing this Goucher is aligning themselves with war crimals. As an Alumni I do not want any part of a school that does not speak up and out against these crimes against humanity.

Goucher should foster dialogue between students with opposing perspectives and should hold teach-ins with speakers invited by students from each "side." Protest should be allowed freely; only verbal or physical violence should be prohibited.

Jewish American woman in solidarity of Palestine. Took Arabic for four years at Goucher where my deeper understanding of the daily genocide Israel is committing began. Today it has reached unfathomable levels. Goucher cannot and should not support genocide by silencing those that speak out against it.
Viva viva Palestina
stuff like this is why I left goucher
