You cannot strip students of their rights of free expression and say you stand for free expression in the same sentence! Goucher College is complicit in genocide and we will never forget that. Kent Deveraux, you have continuously shown you do not care for your students and you certainly do not care for Palestinians. How dare you censor, threaten, and penalize students for practicing the very things your institution claims to teach. I am ashamed to have attended this school and I will continue to say that. You have failed the students who you are responsible for uplifting. Shame on you and shame on Goucher College. You have sacrificed futures and lives in your greed.

Though my name may not look it, I am a member of the Jewish Community, and pro-palestinian voices are absolutely necessary. The Palestinian people had been forced to bare a migrant crisis of genocide refugees, which lead to many of them losing their homes and lands. My grandmother was 31 in 1948- I'm 29 now... If i was forced out of my home now, I would not forgive the state that evicted me. This does not mean we can find agreements

Listen to the students - there is no excuse for silencing speech, war-profiteering, and silence in the face of genocide.

Kent Deveraux is a disgrace to the college!!! He will not respond to my questions. He has blown this cause out of proportion. His emails are cowardly and he has the balls to say that the school does NOT have to abide by the US Constitution bc it is a private entity. Well you took government funding so think again!!! Down Down Goucher!!!!

How ironic not to take a "political stance" against genocides - against clear victimization, incredible violence (as if unhousing people is not enough - actually targeting children, home residences, & hospitals; poisoned water & shooting down food shipments; directing the flow of people toward the next bombs, etc.), dehumanization, power imbalance, settler-colonialism, and overall, again, GENOCIDE, an extermination of people for profit & land. While you profit from students & their families, you threaten them for being human - for having values & standing for them - for morality. I am so disappointed and disgusted in what Goucher administration is standing for - to be a bystander at best, to be complicit and support this in your "silence" & "apolitical" stance while people are slaughtered.

Goucher isn’t standing for its core values, it must be addressed.

I am so proud of our small but mighty college for speaking out and showing up for liberation for Palestinians. I am shocked that the college would dare to follow in the footsteps of other colleges who are punishing students for displaying their civil liberties. When I was at Goucher I remember it being a college that celebrated students engaging in activism. Why in this issue are you silencing them? This past alumni weekend was my 10 year. Had I been there I would have been right alongside them. Why are you punishing students when the ones enacting genocide are really the ones to blame.
